FL: Duval County rolls out drivers license restoration program

Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams and State Attorney Melissa Nelson on Wednesday rolled out the ‘KEYS 2 Drive’ (Knowledge Empowers Your Success) diversion program.

The program will help those facing primary charges of driving without valid licenses, or suspended or revoked licenses, to get valid drivers’ licenses.

Policies like this only embolden the argument that the registry is indeed punishment and – thus – unconstitutional.

Each government program that excludes registrants further acts as evidence for future challenges to the registry.

The answer to this is to become a “protected class of citizen”. How do we do that? What is necessary for SO’s to become a “protected class”?
